MICROWAVE SENSORS
Designed to provide intrusion detection for soft-top and convertible vehicles.
The sensor establishes a self contained perimeter, which when broken will transmit a trigger signal to any connected alarm system.
Microwave sensors can also be used to enhance the protect to tin-top vehicles, expensive car stereo equipment and seat covers are the usual targets for thieves.
Microwave fields are not effected by movement of air or heat, so allowing ventilation** through the vehicle will not cause false alarms.
SENSORS - DUAL ZONE MICROWAVE SENSOR
Designed to detect physical movement not only inside the vehicle but the exterior perimeter as well.
Both zones are adjustable to accommodate a small vehicle to a larger vehicle.
This sensor is ideal for convertibles, roadsters, vans or tradesmen ute's etc.
MICROWAVE THEORY
Microwave sensors use the density of the cabin contents to detect intrusion.
Any radical change in density, i.e. add a thief's body, causes extra current draw by the microwave transmitter.
This in turn cases the microwave sensor to send a trigger signal to the alarm.
Microwave sensors are suitable for all vehicles, but are most suited to protect the cabin space of convertibles, targa and soft tops.
The microwave field defines it's own boundaries and requires not hard surfaces to reflect off.
Extra bonus is microwaves will pass through the front seats of a vehicle and still protect the rear seat.
